Koa Elementary Families,

I am thrilled to welcome you to the 2026–2027 school year! At Koa Elementary, we are proud of the tremendous academic growth and successes we have achieved across all areas. Our students and staff have worked incredibly hard, and I am confident that this year we will continue to R.I.S.E. each and every day—Responsible, Inspiring excellence, Self-control, and Engaging every learner.

As we begin this new school year, I want to emphasize the importance of daily attendance. Every day in school matters, and consistent attendance plays a vital role in student achievement. When our Koalas are present, they are engaged, learning, and growing.

Equally important is the partnership between home and school. Parent involvement makes a powerful difference in a child’s success. We encourage you to stay connected, communicate with your child’s teacher, and participate in school events and activities throughout the year. Together, we can ensure that every student reaches their full potential.

I am beyond excited to welcome all of our Koalas back to campus on August 10th! It is going to be an amazing year filled with growth, achievement, and unforgettable experiences.

I love Koa because we get to work side by side, along with students who are willing to go above and beyond and push the creative limits as well as adults who are willing to go above and beyond.” “It (Discovery Labs) has gotten kids more on computers and instead of gearing their thought process towards YouTube, it’s given them a platform to create something and then be able to physically see it come to life.”

“I love the Discovery Lab, it’s super fun because I get to build robots and do some special stuff on the computers, and it’s really entertaining and fun. My teachers always push me to go beyond my expectations, and that helps me. I also love Koa because the teachers are super nice, and they help me learn a lot. I look forward to doing the after-school Dance club, and it’s fun because dance helps me get more energy to focus when I’m in a classroom.”

“Koa is very family-oriented; Koa supports the kids who need help. Koa has a lot of extracurricular activities for the kids. Speaking from personal experience, my fourth grader is in dance, my little one runs cross-country and track. They love coming to school because they have something to look forward to. I love Koa because my kids love Koa.”
