🐨 Principal’s Message: Welcome to the Second Nine Weeks!
Dear Koa Elementary Families,
Welcome to the second nine weeks of the 2026–2027 school year! I am incredibly proud of the growth, hard work, and progress our Koalas have demonstrated during the first nine weeks. We are truly Wild About Learning, and our students continue to show us that great things happen when we work together!
As we begin this new grading period, our focus remains on providing high-quality instruction, closely monitoring student progress, and providing immediate, meaningful feedback to help every child grow. Our teachers are using student data to adjust instruction, address learning gaps, and celebrate successes along the way. We are excited to see the academic gains our students will demonstrate on the upcoming FAST Progress Monitoring 2 (PM2) assessments!
Attendance Matters—Every Student, Every Day!
Families, we need your continued partnership! Every instructional minute counts, and consistent attendance is essential to student success. Please ensure your child arrives at school on time, ready to learn, every day. Missing even one day means missing valuable learning opportunities. Together, we can build strong habits that lead to academic excellence!
🎃 Join Us for Our Annual Trunk or Treat!
We are especially excited about our upcoming Annual Trunk or Treat celebration on Friday, October 23, at 5:00 PM! We cannot wait to welcome our Koala families for an evening of fun, laughter, treats, and community fellowship. Events like these remind us that Koa Elementary is more than a school—we are a family!
As we move forward, I encourage our families to continue reading with their children nightly, practicing math facts, reviewing schoolwork, and maintaining open communication with teachers. Your involvement makes a tremendous difference!
Our goal is simple: Every student growing, every classroom thriving, and every day making a difference! We have so much to celebrate, and even more to accomplish. I am confident that with our dedicated teachers, hardworking students, and supportive families, we will continue reaching new heights.
We are WILD about learning, WILD about growth, and WILD about getting that B!
Thank you for being an essential part of our Koa family. Here’s to an amazing second nine weeks!
With Koala Pride,
Dr. Annette Kalloo-Molina
